For this reason, the special exercise program was set as the independent cause of change, and the effects and influences of the experiment application on social-emotional development was set as the dependent cause of change. Also, the student`s age and gender, which were anticipated to have a strong influence o n the application of the exercise program in preceding researches, were set as the cause of change in demographical specifics. The subject of the research was intellectually-disabled students. The special exercise program was applied and executed periodically to the test group while a normal exercise program based on general abilities was applied to the control group. The experiment results showed that the special exercise program of intellectually-disabled students had an overall high influence in independence of teachers and internal control, interaction with colleagues, and sense of peace in school which are all for social-emotional development, and therefore proved that the program was appropriate for special exercise of intellectually-disabled students. In other words, the results demonstrated that the effects of improving social-emotional development could be maximized through special exercise fit for the specifics and ability of the intellectually-disabled students instead of standard exercise.
