In this new millennium, God still rules over the world, so various aspects of Christian education are needed, too. Christian education should cultivate understanding of the principles of God`s reign through the process of history, hope in the current social crisis, and responsibility for life so that people may follow God`s will. From this viewpoint, Christian education needs to help secular education carry its role and responsibility properly by suggesting valuable directions. And religious education must heal the pain of the age through a close relationship with the government, society, and the church. Therefore we need to help people understand the presence of the God of truth, fear him, and become passionate agents of the gospel. The essential starting point of Christian education is the knowledge of God, and the knowledge of God is not postmodern and neo-scientific knowledge, but the understanding of God`s sovereignty, in which the creation, resurrection, and the new creation are integrated in history. People, as God`s creatures and his agents, should perceive the new age and understand that God is the Lord of human history, who works in his children making them new beings with the rest creatures.
