This paper is a suggestion of Christian ethics for Church reformation via complimentary study between Public Theology and Ecclesial Ethics. In spite of many differences between two perspectives, this paper pays attention to the possibility of common concern on Church. As we know, Max L. Stackhouse insists on the publicness of Christian faith in these global times. Public theology rebukes the privatization of faith and emphasizes the public concern of Church. Unlike Stackhouse, Hauerwas begins from the Church and emphasizes ``being Church`` as the most urgent task of Christian faith. Ecclesial Ethics refuses the ``Constantinian accommodation`` and focuses the importance of Christian virtue of peace according to Jesus narrative. Although, there are so many discussions between Stackhouse and Hauerwas, the ``sectarian`` debate is the most critical point. Despite of so critical differences, this paper makes an attempt of interpretation for common issue between two perspectives. This paper`s core attention is the Church as the base of Public Theology and Ecclesial Ethics. In other words, Church must be reformed according to the values of publicness and ecclesial identity. The main intend of this paper is to suggest the importance of ethical maturation and reformation of Korean Church. Especially, reforming the Church is the key point which has to be recognized to all Christians and Church. In this meaning, Publicness and Ecclesial identity of Church must be the ethical visions for Church reformation of Korea.
