Due to the rapid change of market and technology caused by global competition, convergence capabilities have been emphasized to enhance the future growth engines and industrial competitiveness. Also, numerous firms are supposed to make the best use of new technologies regarding convergence capabilities in order to develop new products. Therefore, firms have a duty to maximize the value of information with optimal management surroundings to improve customer satisfaction. Furthermore, technological innovations, as a means of achieving results, should be reflected to suggest a direction of technology and strategy development. It is considered to create more outcomes when convergence capabilities were applied. As a consequence, the objective of this study is to evaluate the relationship between dynamic capabilities, convergence capabilities, and technology innovation performances. In order to better understand, we carried out a survey targeting local companies which are in the process of commercializing convergence technology. Data were analyzed by path analysis and sobel test.
According to the results of the analysis, convergence capabilities were affected(+) by dynamic capabilities and technology innovation performances were affected(+) by convergence capabilities. Besides this, it appears that convergence capabilities worked as a mediator between dynamic capabilities and technology innovation performances.
This study aimed to evaluate the effects of dynamic capabilities on technology innovation performances based on the mediation effects of convergence capabilities.
