The purpose of this study is to investigate how the writing of elderly people on Internet affects the complex tasks. For this purpose, 2 results were used; 1) the results of precedent research related to the verbal working memory ability and the situation awareness in driving on elderly people, 2) the results of survey about the elderly people who participated at the same precedent research. x2(chi-square) was used to analyze for the correlation among the writing, the verbal working memory, and the situation awareness.
In consequence, we found out that the writing of elderly people keeps the verbal working memory ability, and has a higher correlation with the situation awareness in driving such as the complex tasks. And, the implication is that the writing of elderly people is important to keep the continuous ability of verbal working memory that is able to help the complex tasks for elderly people.
