This study started in order to figure out how to galvanize the academic interests of the students participating in the physical education lectures of such required college courses and how to motivate them to engage themselves in learning in such classes. In particular, I"d like to look into what it is like to use the multi-model approach in such courses. As for the research technique, I compared the Taekwondo learning groups to which the multi-model approach is being applied with the other two Taekwondo groups to which ordinary teaching methods are being applied. As for the research materials, I tried to collect them by looking at learners take part in the class, listening to other experts on the same research, questionnaires, and estimating the measurements of study effectiveness between varied groups. As for the process, for 15 weeks, I taught the subjects by applying the partner teaching methods of Havruta, used semi-PBL, applied flipped learning techniques, carried out game model learning methods, and circular model learning methods. But later I excluded flipped learning techniques, expecting side effects from the subjects. As for the effectiveness, in general, the new approach has evoked the interests in study by motivating them to learn but, compared to ordinary learners, educational effectiveness isn"t particularly higher. But it is still meaningful in that the subjects think they are more motivated to learn as the questionnaires show. It is expected that the new approach can result in high effectiveness in the PE class even though how high it will be is not clear.
