Many studies on infant growth shows that infancy is an important period to determine Physical, emotional, linguistic, cognitive and social developments of man through his life. Previous studies on childcare are focused on a basic research to analyze the needs of childcare service and to understand its actual situation, but few on satisfaction on childcare of mothers who use childcare facilities.
First of all, one should understand mothers recognitions and needs of infant education by their backgrounds to satisfy their needs of education and day care and to develop the development of infant education in quality. It will be also helpful to understand their recognitions and needs when it is thought to be important to consider regional characters and their views in deciding such as the raito of teachers to children or teaching methods, the qualification level of teachers and human resources, the size of a classroom and composition of environment.
Therefore, in this study, compared the cognizance of childcare, knowledge on the actual situation of childcare facilities or childcare service with the satisfaction of childcare for mothers commit their children in an infancy to a day care center. And studied the satisfaction of childcare as a single item and it by individual characters. Finally, studied the effects on the relationship between the cognizance of childcare and the satisfaction of childcare.
To achieve the purpose of this study, made a questionnaire survey for 13 day care centers at Kuro-Ku in Seoul. Also the same survey for 218 mothers respectively except for wrong questionnaires with omitted items or incomplete recording. Classified the cognizance of childcare and the satisfaction of childcare into four factors and set up a hyposthesis and verified it in order to the differences with a mothers factor, a child factor, a facility factor by individual characters. In order to examine the effect of the cognizance of childcare on the satisfaction of childcare, set up a hypothesis and verified it.
