The theologies of Moltmann and Pannenberg have been compared quite often in diverse ways on many subjects. They were born in similar years, Moltmann(1926~) and Pannenberg(1928~2014), both were educated in German speaking regions, and even worked at the same Seminary, Wuppertal Kirchliche Hochschule, for several years. However, the reason why they are compared frequently is, it is believed, that their theologies share a lot of similarities. It is true that both Moltmann and Pannenberg are interested in history, eschatology, Christology and the doctrine of the Trinity. In this article, I deal with the three subjects of their theologies; the view of history, Christology and praxis. The purpose of this article is to identify the differences of their theologies. When we examine their theologies deeply, we will realize that there are great differences between them. In addition, we will understand that the view of history, for Moltmann and Pannenberg, is the frame to accommodate their theologies such as eschatology, Christology and the doctrine of Trinity.
