The second volume of Chinese textbooks has been analyzed and linked to the new HSK3·4 grade tests. The connectivity between the second volume of the three series textbooks and the new HSK3 was investigated in three areas: First, 68% of the total grammar points can be obtained by learning the second volume of the series. Second, the combined ratio of the new words in the second volume and the required words in the class of new HSK3 is 14 percent and the combined rate with the first volume is 10 percent. Therefore, if you learn the second volume, you can only acquire about 24 percent. Third, the association between the subject matter of new HSK3 and the subject matter of text of the textbook is 45 percent and the combined rate with the first volume 27percent. Therefore, while learning the second volume shows a 72 percent correlation, it shows limitations in responding to the issue of the new HSK3 class, which deals with matters other than daily life.
The connectivity between the second volume of the three series textbooks and the new HSK4 was investigated in three areas: First, the grammar point agreement is similar, so even if you learn the second volume of the series, you can prepare for new HSK4 in terms of grammar. Second, the combined rate of the new words in the second volume and the required words in the class of new HSK4 is 12% and the combined rate with the first volume is 4%. Therefore, it is difficult to prepare for the class of new HSK4 since only 16% can be learned if the second volume is learned. Third, the association between new HSK4-class subject matter and textbook subject is 27% and the combined rate with the first volume is 17%. Therefore, it is difficult to learn to prepare for new HSK4 by learning the second volume, considering the nature of the fourth level problem with many conceptual explanations.
In conclusion, if you learn the second volume of the series, you can prepare for the grammar of new HSK3·4. On the other hand, the relationship between the number of words and the subject matter is very low, it is no longer easy for learners who need a new HSK rating to acquire knowledge related to new HSK 3·4. In addition, you need to learn text specialized in new HSK.
