This is a paper on examining about the possibility of poetry therapy using modern korean poetry in a class at university. The writer tried to lead students who were attending in the korean poetry class to understand the concept of poetry therapy and look into their own mind and life. The writer anticipated they are able to reinforce their own flexible and dynamic spirit that could stand against anxiety and anguish in everyday life. Because a poetry therapy is a way of giving chances of self-examination to those who suffer from anxieties and mental anguish. The writer studied that reading and writing poems helps students understand what problems they have. And good poems' structure and rhythm, metaphor and symbol could be used to raise students' concentration on their own mental problems. The writer once reported by an essay how to lead students on the relation of acceptable, expressional poetry therapy in a class at university. This time the writer showed two cases of poetry therapy what the writer got by the interview through direct and indirect methods with students. As the result, students showed that they could recognize and handle their own psychotic situation. At the end of the essay, a survey was presented about how students understand and think of the process of poetry therapy in the modern korean poetry class.
