This paper aimed to verify the impact of the career search efficacy of juniors and seniors in college majoring in beauty on career search behavior with the focus on the fact that their career search behaviors play important roles in determining their careers. The data was collected from four 4-year colleges with a Department of Beauty in Gwang-ju. Four hundred questionnaires were distributed, and 329 copies were collected from March 26 to April 15, 2014. Frequency analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis were executed with data in 329 questionnaires using SPSS 20.0 statistic package. The analysis results are summarized below. The career desire types after graduation were identified using plural responses. The hair designer (17.4%) showed the highest ratio with 172 respondents (17.4%), followed by makeup artist (13.8%) with 136 respondents, skin care specialist (13.2%) with 130 respondents, and nail artist (11.1%) with 110 respondents, in that sequence. Next, the career search efficacy was classified into two factors: individual and career search efficacy and relationship-building efficacy. The career search behavior was also divided into two factors: career search and self-search. It was identified that career search efficacy had a statistically significant impact on career search behavior. The analysis results verified that the career search efficacy of college students majoring in beauty was an important variable related to career search behavior. Therefore, it is required to progressively improve their career search behaviors.
