This paper purports to report how to apply the Digital Mind MapTM to Russian Language Learning and suggest more effective methods of using it. The Digital Mind Map is an improved version of the Mind Map software which reflected the basic principles and structures. Accordingly, this paper examineds characteristics of the traditional Mind Map and the method of utilizing it since it provides the basic structure and usage for the Digital Mind MapTM. Then, along with the functions of the traditional software, the new functions of the Digital Mind MapTM were used to teach Russian vocabulary and sentences. As for vocabulary, the students were asked to brainstorm the vocabulary related to the specific topic, which were classified by using one of the important functions of the drag and drop in the Node. Then, these words were examined for their BOIs to identify patterns and relationships among the words in order to find ways to help the students learn more vocabulary effectively. With regard to teaching sentences, both brainstorming and clustering words in numbers were done so as to first extract words related to specific topics and, then, to number the words for the story construction in a chronological order according to each theme. In doing so, the words which can be used for the same sentence are numbered the same and the numbers are assigned sequentially based on the chronological order of the story. Then, effective ways of making appropriate sentences in Russian were examined by clustering the words with the same number using the function of the drag and drop.
