This paper aims to give English-Korean translation learners substantial help in improving the quality of their translations. In this study, the translation editing process is divided into two processes. At the first filtering process, mistranslation and translationese in the translated texts must be removed on the basis of ‘accuracy’, ‘appropriacy’ and ‘naturalness’. At the second filtering process, which is the core part of this study, it is necessary that the translated texts conform to the linguistic features and structures of the target language. The data that serves as a basis for this explanation is taken from the students’ translation assignments and other sources. The author hopes the research will contribute to triggering further discussion on the study of how to enhance the quality of the English-Korean translation.
