A new six-rowed naked barley variety, Nam ho, was developed f rom a crossing betwe n Naga dehada ka with toleranceto environm ental streses and Sigokku 42 with high yield and resistance to lodging at National Honam Agricultural Experim entngand maturing date were Apr. 19 and May 25, respectively which were earlier 3 and 4 days, respectively than those of check varietySaessalbori. Also, this variety showed cold tolerance, BaYMV resistance comparing to check variety Saessalbori. In the qualityinvestigation, the grain has the higher βthose of check variety. Its average pearled grain yield in the regional yield trial was 3. 86MT / at double cropping in pa ddy whichwas 6% higher than that of check variety. The adaptable area of Nam ho is warm regions where is more than 7oC (minimumaverage tem perature on Jan.).
