The study is to find and apply the choreograph elements and the new approach for a dance showed in Bolero to creating works by analyzing the characteristics and forms in the work. The analysis apparatus for Bolero is Choreometrics created by Alan Lomax and Irmgard Barteniff and the results are as follows: Like Bolero shows the very brevity, parts of body are defined in 'arm and hand' and 'leg and foot.' There are also showed firm units and simple forms according to the analysis results for the physical forms and primary actions. Moreover, the continual repetitive movements showing simple but same 'reckless' motions are reflected in the character and primary actions of change and the energy of it. On the whole, every movements use in the form of more curved line than straight line and they not only diffuse the direct and strong energy, but make use of moderate dynamic ones. Consequently, Bèjart uses a series of very simple movements and moderate energy and also suggests the flexible actions using side and active movements but continual energy in Bolero.
