Nail art is a territory of art that expresses characteristic and personal image on the nail and it becomes popular. These days most of women are interested in nail art. Recently customers have many chances to access a variety of nail art design through media such as internet. so they become aware of high quality nail art design. Therefore, the new creative nail art designs require to be developed. The graffiti art that satirized dissatisfaction and rebellious spirit on the subway and slum wall surface had a lot of support of African- American in late 1960. It finally settled down as one of the popular culture media. Nowadays, it has a lot of effect on fashion and design. The purpose of this research is to understand feature of graffiti art and develop new nail art design by using graffiti art. It will help depart from the standard pattern and expend nail art design area. The research content and method is to conduct theory research and empirical study mainly with advanced research and specialty publication by considering literature and analyzing nail art design. We selected 5 typical graffiti art designers. We tried to analyze and apply their design and feature to new nail art design. We finally made 5 new nail art design by using lots of nail art technique and material. We could have not only the motivation but also possibility to create new design by understanding graffiti art. Furthermore, we realized that the nail art design can be combined with other design work, which is really valuable and worthy. We expected that if detailed and specific research for new and creative nail art design continuously goes on, there will be better improvement for nail art design by utilizing various kind of images.
