This study was aimed to analyze the actual condition and problems in vocational training which has been firstly implemented to 18 refugees, woodcutters, from North Korea and to offer a basic material to provide the vocational training method. The conclusions drawn from the study were as follows: First, we must know that there are many difficulties and problems when the vocational training program (V.T.P.) is carried out for the refugees. Second we should consider their academic badkground, experiences, health and desire when we select the refugees for the V.T.P. - The curricula are divided into three - under 3 months, 6 months and a year. We should have them get suitable skills and earlier employments and operate the efficient use of the budget. - In case of reunification, we should provide and develop various programs. Third, the good guidance to get the stability by understanding the Republic of Korea and the training of social adaptation for recovering the identity as a ethnic Korean should precede prior to the V.T.P. Fourth, the extensive guidance to help them to understand jobs of Korea and the search for the qualified specialists who are responsible for the V.T.P. are needed. Fifth, If the refugee has licences from North Korea the plan should be investigated, whether they are recognize or not. Sixth, It is necessary for them to arrange the job from government. Seventh, the specialized organization, instructors and facilities should be secured to custody and protect the refugees, the program for the elementary knowledge should be given to them during a certain period prior to the V.T.P. Eighth, it seems to he investigated that the settlement fund should be paid at the beginning of the V.T.P. and the support fund should be paid at the time for contracting the house.
