Nahui is a multi-religious Chinese culture that includes essential elements such as rituals, folklore, art, and masks. The investigation of traditional Chinese costumes through Nahui is meaningful from a religious and historical perspective. The method of this study was a field survey which visited Xinhua county in Hunan province, China, from July 11 to 16, 2016. The theoretical background was conducted with previous studies. Nahui was transferred to Xinhua county, Hunan province, where his ancestors briefly recreated the ritual of dying in a civilian gut on his father"s birthday. Nahui, the same ritual as Korea, is ongoing in China. The costumes at the ceremony are traditional costumes of their country. This study summarized traditional Chinese costumes through Nahui, which was made in a private house when traditional Nahui, which was performed in a private house in China, disappeared. The types and meanings of traditional clothes worn by the event organizers are as follows: First, Eobokgun was used instead of a crown, symbolizing immortal authority. Doochel served as a support for authority and dignity. Second, Jangsam was like a dressing method of unbuttoning and tying the hem back. The use of these buttons was presumed to be a functional change to facilitate manipulation. Third, Beopgui was a religious symbol that contained auspicious symbols and the meaning of gratitude to God after removing the plague from the colors and patterns. In order to expand the visual effects of Nahui, the opening form of the sideline changed. Fourth, Choui was judged to maximize the visual effect by wrapping a line with various colors based on the red color, which symbolizes a magical meaning and means official costume.
