Brewers’ spent grain (BSG), the most abundant by-product of the beer brewing process, causes economic and environmental problems. The valorization of BSG such as usage as animal feed are necessary to sustainable development. The aim of this study was to investigate the inhibitory effects of BSG on inflammation in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced RAW 264.7 macrophages. BSG suppressed LPS-induced inflammation as demonstrated by reducing the production of NO and ROS and expression of iNOS and pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6.
