Curcuminoids in turmeric oleoresin (TO) have known to be an effective antioxidant, whereas they can act as a photosensitizer under different lights. In this study, photosensitizing properties of TO and its consequent induction of lipid oxidation were evaluated under fluorescent light (FL) and Blue LED. Photosensitizing activity was more pronounced under Blue LED than FL. TO did not enhance fluorescence of DCFH, a ROS probe, indicating that ROS was not produced by photosensitized TO.
