With regard to culture in Bukhangang basin from Proto-Three Kingdoms Period to Hanseong Baekje period, researchers have focused on chronological study for the structural side of dwelling or specific relics. However, due to disproportionate amount of data, lack of consistent chronological system, and so on, closely examining the complicated and diverse cultural aspects in this region was accompanied with a lot of difficulties. In this article, it is intended to analyze dwelling and settlement structure for the remains of settlement in Bukhangang basin from Proto-Three Kingdoms Period to Hanseong Baekje period. With regard to the structure of dwelling, the plan and heating system was roughly classified into 3 types respectively. And their combination conditions were subdivided, and this study first examined what construction was shown according to type. Besides, this study examined characteristics according to settlement administration period through the condition of arrangement of these types, and tried to track the changing process. In the results of analysis, settlements from the 2nd century BC to the 1st century AD showed a dispersed distribution. And with regard to the structure of dwelling, relatively simple type-oriented ones were constructed. In the 2nd century AD, diverse aspects developed in the structural side of dwelling. And nucleated settlement appeared around Udu-dong, Chuncheon city. In the 3rd century, as the nucleated settlement moved to river island etc., Jeomto-type heating system and buttumak (cooking fireplace) was introduced in 呂(凸)-shape or hexagonal plan. And it was verified that there were settlements with high densityㆍmultiplicity according to size. In the final stage, large settlements highly related to Hanseong Baekje, such as Woncheon-ri, Hwacheon-gun, have continued to exist until the 5th century. In other words, it is verified that settlements in Bukhangang basin from Proto-Three Kingdoms Period to Hanseong Baekje period have changed with different structure of dwelling according to administration period, and there is a aspect of different spatial distribution as the nucleated settlements move.
