Today in our society, suicidal death is a social death. This social death is manifested in its wide and deep power in all areas of our society, regardless of age, sex, occupation, and religion. In order to prevent the social spread of suicide, the interest and efforts are being formed in various fields such as psychology, psychiatry, sociology, philosophy, and religious studies to clarify the cause and social environment of suicide. In this social atmosphere, the way of looking to suicide is also gradually changing to an inclusive attitude. However, there is a still negative perception of suicide in our society and in this situation suicide survivors need social and religious support. In this paper I examine the way in which suicide survivors construct self-identity and the way of understanding life newly by the religious belief and ritual, focusing on the influence of religion on the suicide survivor in the mourning process.
