Sungjupuri and Munjeonbonpuri, the two representative myth of home, tell the orientation of several gods who protect home. They sit in a column, a kitchen, gates, a toilet and so on. Sungjupuri has been recited by Shamans in Gyeonggi Province, Munjeonbonpuri in Jeju island. These myths represent the experience about traditional home. The word, “home” has two levels of meanings. One means material place which comprise a house, or room, toilet, kitchen, yard so on. The other means family relationship between father(mother) and son(daughter), sister and brother, husband and wife. I refer the first level of meaning to the thought on house, the second to the thought on family. I study the interactions between two kinds of thought. For the purpose, the narrative is divided in to the following stages, or narrative schemata: contractㆍmanipulation, competence, performance, sanction. According the stage, I examinate the difference and common ground of the two myths. Finally I found defensive and useful thought on home in Munjeonbonpuri, and generative and moral thought in Sungjupuri. Although they have different thought on home, they have common ground. The stories all exclude a middle zone and a mediator. Finally this paper supposes the reason in the shaman culture where the two myths are based.
