A new adaptive attitude and altitude controller for an aerial robot is presented in this research study. To actively estimate the controller parameters of an aerial robot, the proposed technique uses a Reinforcement Learning-based algorithm. The RL-based adaptive control technique outperforms several common control algorithms when dealing with highly nonlinear systems and parameter uncertainty. When compared to conventional Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) controllers, the numerical simulation results show that this intelligent control technique can improve the overall control performance of the system, resulting in precise vehicle trajectory tracking and altitude control.
