GOP scientific guard system has been operated 5~6 years by GOP unit from 2015-2016. However the media and the National Assembly’s National Defense Committee used to raise great concerns about maintaining the security operation to the front line of North Korea due to frequent errors and failures.
The goal of this study is to suggest the development direction of the next GOP scientific guard system through the overall evaluation and problem identification of the GOP scientific guard system of the GOP unit commanders and staffs of the previous research.
The survey was analyzed using statistical analysis techniques such as parametric t-test, hierarchical analysis technique (AHP), ranking procedures. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that the commanders and staffs of the GOP units recognized that the GOP scientific guard system was an effective and efficient system to achieve the objectives of the GOP security operation. However, for the completeness of the GOP security operation, improvement of the problems identified in the maintenance and use facility satisfaction survey of the GOP scientific guard system was required.
The results of this study will serve as a basis for reflecting and promoting the requirements of users when developing the GOP scientific guard system in the future.
