In order to understand the comfort of the region as a living space, the competitiveness of the region as a space for economic activity, and the sufficiency of local resources as a leisure space, it is common to investigate, evaluate or compare the regional indicators. In this study, policy indicators by various fields were investigated in order to understand the comfort as a living space, competitiveness as a space for economic activity, and potential as a space for culture, leisure, and tourism of 31 cities and counties in Gyeonggi-Do.
In addition, about 16,000 Gyeonggi-do residents were surveyed for their satisfaction and future hopes in various policy areas, and the results of the survey were compared between classes and between cities and counties. Through the analysis of the survey results, the comfort, competitiveness and potential of the region in the subjective aspect were diagnosed. Finally, cities and counties with high similarity were extracted based on statistical analysis (cluster analysis) of survey data for residents. Based on the inter-regional similarity, we discovered and proposed cooperative projects between cities and counties that are expected to be of great help to regional development.
