This study aims to verify the effects of the career decision-making self-efficacy of college students in the Department of Culinary Arts on career stress and the moderating effects of social support. The survey for this study was conducted against the subjects of 277 college students in the Department of Culinary Arts from April 1 to June 1, 2022. As a result of the analysis, career decision-making self-efficacy (future planning, goal setting) indicated a significant negative (-) effect on career stress (career ambiguity) while career decision-making self-efficacy (future planning) indicated a significant negative (-) effect on career stress (deficient career information). As for the moderating effects of social support, support of professors and support of friends showed significant moderating effects on the influential relationship between career decision-making self-efficacy (future planning, goal setting) and career stress (career ambiguity). As a result of verifying the moderating effects of social support in the influential relationship between career decision-making self-efficacy (future planning, goal setting) and career stress (deficient career information), support of families and support of friends showed significant moderating effects in future planning. Based on this study, the career stress of college students must be reduced by raising their career decision-making self-efficacy and strengthening the role of social support; at schools, systematic efforts and programs should be provided. Furthermore, professors must conduct diverse consulting and education to lower stress toward career, thereby developing the career competencies of students in the Department of Culinary Arts.
