In this study, I analyzed same pattern of synonyms with Korean and the ratio of Nihonkango and Chinese words in Kango of the first Japanese dictionary 『Genkai(言海)』 in Japan Based on the 180 words choosen in the dictionary, the ratio of same patterns with Korean is 95% and same synonyms in same patterns with Korean is 94.2%. In the dictionary, the ratios of Nihonkango and Chinese words are 17.4% and 62.1%, respectively. I can found that the ratio of Chinese words is relatively high even the dictionary is Japanese dictionary. From the True Record of the Joseon Dynasty, it is confirmed that the Chinese words had been used in Korea before the Japanese colonial period. Furthermore Korea have accommodated Japanesekango from Japan due to historical background. These are the reasons of a lot of same pattern of synonyms with Korean even in the Japanese dictionary of Japan. From the results obtained above, it is concluded that the ratios of same synonyms in same patterns with Korean and Chinese Kango are very high among the Kangos of the dictionary『Genkai』published in late 19th century.
