This paper attempted to prepare meaningful teaching and learning materials for Korean educational adjective synonyms through a semantic approach to the polysemy of individual words. Since the necessity of synonyms increases at the intermediate level after basic vocabulary learning is completed, the synonym group was selected centering on 191 intermediate adjectives among the list of Korean educational vocabulary, and the finally selected synonym group was 83 pairs. The meaning of vocabulary was referred to by referring to three types of Korean dictionaries, but finally description the meaning by examining the use environment of each meaning. The significance relationship was determined in consideration of the polysemy of the vocabulary, and the final selected significance through this process was intended to find discrimination information through analysis of three Korean dictionaries and use cases of the SJ-RIKS corpus. This paper attempted to expand the scope of research on Korean synonym education, which was limited to emotional adjectives without considering proficiency, to intermediate adjectives, and attempted to closely analyze the polysemy of synonyms that have not yet been discussed in depth in Korean language education.
