The purpose of this study is to develop and validate behavioral measures for the promotion of physical activity of children from multicultural families. For this purpose, 265 children from multicultural families were selected as the study subjects. Preliminary questions were developed through literature research and expert consultation. The validity and reliability of the developed preliminary questions were verified by exploratory factor analysis and calculation of the Cronbach alpha coefficient. The validity of the constructed preliminary scale was verified by applying the Rasch model. For the analysis, SPSS 22.0 program and Winsteps 4.5.2 program were used. The results of the study are as follows. First, it was found that the behavioral scale for the promotion of physical activity of children from multicultural families satisfies the one-dimensional assumption. Second, the 5-point response category of the behavioral scale for the promotion of physical activity of children from multicultural families was found to be appropriate. Third, the behavioral scale for the promotion of physical activity of children from multicultural families was found to be generally appropriate except for one item. It is judged that the results of this study will be used to measure the behaviors to promote physical activity of children from multicultural families.
