As baby boomers, with a population of seven million, enter their old age, the way in which they their post-retirement is a socioeconomic issue. It is understood they have a high desire for tourism with high purchasing power and cultural needs based on stable economic power. This study tried to find out how their attitude toward travel affects their usual happiness and happiness after traveling. In addition, baby boomers’ preferred tourism activities in actual travel were identified. As a result, it was found that the higher the interest and awareness of travel, the happier they feel not only after travel but also in their daily lives. It suggests that travel can be an effective way to relieve depression and loneliness in their old age and improve happiness. In addition, it was found that the tourism activity that baby boomers prefer the most on their trips is visiting natural sites. Next, historical and artistic activities, rest and gastronomy, local cultural experience activities, and leisure activities were analyzed as preferred activities in that order.
