This article categorizes and organizes language errors in online commentary video texts from five perspectives: syntax, semantics, pragmatics, discourse, and vocabulary. Syntactic errors account for almost half of all errors. The top three are incomplete sentence components, mixed sentence structures, and improper word order. The number of semantic errors ranks second among all errors. Among them, semantic paradox has the highest frequency of occurrence. The number of errors in a text ranks third among all errors, manifested as various errors in the interconnected process of clauses at different levels. The most common occurrence among them is logical errors. There are relatively few errors in pragmatics and vocabulary. The language errors in online commentary video texts exhibit uneven quality, diverse forms of language errors, and a focus on expressing content while neglecting logic. The reasons for language errors objectively include the influence of the creative environment, creative methods, and audience groups. From a subjective perspective, the familiarity of creators with language norms and the level of artistic expression of language have a direct impact on the quality of texts. In addition, interference from audio images and lack of professional knowledge are also influencing factors.
