This study analyzes the research trends of domestic lifelong education methods in South Korea from 2001 to 2023 using keyword network analysis. The primary objective is to explore the changes in key research topics and the structural relationships between them over time. By applying keyword network analysis, the study identifies core keywords such as experience-based learning, learner-centered education, and educational goals, which have emerged as dominant themes in lifelong education research. The research method involves analyzing 181 papers published in KCI-listed journals. NetMiner and Excel were used to perform keyword frequency analysis, co-occurrence analysis, and centrality analysis to track changes in research trends. Results indicate that experience-based learning and learner-centered education have become central to lifelong education, reflecting an increasing focus on learner engagement and experience. The study also highlights the rising importance of digital education and integrative learning methods in the field. This research contributes to understanding the structural flow of lifelong education studies, offering insights into future research directions and policy implications. The findings suggest that future lifelong education programs should emphasize learner-centered approaches and integrate digital technologies.
