In this paper, we analyzed Daoist icons depicted in the murals of Koguryo s old tombs. The conculusion is as follows;
First, the Koguryo' s old tombs represent strong Daoist elements in its architectual ways as well as contents of the murals.
Second, we can ascertain some contents of Koguryo s Daoism has influenced to the Korean culture in tile later periods. For example, worship of Seven stars (七星)
Third, tile murals of Koguryo s old tombs show us tile coexistence of my til and Daoism, or appropriating myth by Daoism.
Furthermore we need to study on outer elixir(外丹) of Koguryo's Daoism, the relation with Shangqing Daoism(上淸波). We can say Koguryo's Daoism bas abundant materials to wait interpretation.
