This paper intends to figure out the creative methods and creation period of Kimhuikyeongjeon which has not been noticed importantly even though it is one of the typical heroine novels. It is presumed that Kimhuikyeongjeon would have been created in some time between the end of the 17th to the early 18th century when heroine novels were groped for initially and the early 19th century when the genre's convention was set up and numerous works were created and circulated. Therefore, its concrete creation period can be estimated to be the end of the 18th century. About the time when Kimhuikyeongjeon was created, full-length novels created in the latter half of the 17th century such as Guunmong, Hongbaekhwajeon, hangseongamuirok, and Sohyeonseongrok were being actively circulated, and heroine novels like Seoljeojeon or Yihyeonkyeongjeon were being newly groped for. Thus, it was a very natural thing that Kimhuikyeongjeon transfigured the love stories about a man and woman disguised as an opposite sex separately in Guunmong and Changseongamuirok and the heroic action of a woman disguised as a man in Yihyeonkyeongjeon. It is expected that Kimhuikyeongjeon will be actively considered based on these results.
