In Korea, now people are interested in all things about Chinese culture, especially Chinese language and literature very carefully. So it is a very important project to discuss the future studies and teaching of Chinese poetry, because it is the origin of Chinese literature. The Tang Dynasty, generally acknowledged as the golden age of Chinese poetry, partially resolved the conflicts that had arisen during the Six Dynasties(六朝) concerning the nature and purpose of poetry. The resulting confidence and facility of expression is a major reason for the greatness of Tang poetry (唐詩). And so it is a real and natural fact that has based on Tang poetry in this article. This article is a study of the evaluation for studying Tang poetry in Korea, and explains how we will study poets(not yet study: 硏究未盡) and its methodology. I should mention poems for a few conventions of the text and translations here. Since measures were rarely used with any exactitude in poetry, I have felt free to replace Chinese measure with inexact Korean equivalents. As in any work that tries to cover a great deal of material, I have had to keep to notes to a minimum, explaining allusions and references in a poem only when they contribute to the discussion or are necessary to follow the surface argument of a poem. Whenever possible, a poem should avoid direct assertions and build its effect on the subtle manipulation of tone and imagery. Instead of clarity, it should strive for nuance, implicit, meaning, and the art of suggestion. Chinese poetry particulary has ideal form for expressing the state of fusion of mood and scene(情景交融), for the study and teaching of Chinese poetry also ask us to read and memorize poems repeatedly for the best learning condition.
