This study shall be summarized as set forth below. Firstly, it demonstrates an overview of changes in the general theories of writing education, and inquires into the actual conditions of communication among the learners that take the ‘Writing and Communication’ course of Daegu University.
Secondly, college writing education must cover ① ‘problemsolving’ cognitive education, ② integrated communication education of reading, speaking/listening, and writing, ③ understanding and expression education based on inquiry activities for concentrations, and finally, ④ production of new knowledge in the social and cultural context, on the basis of ‘knowledge, function, and utilization’.
Thirdly, it suggests an integrated teaching-learning method about “instructors’ educational contents, students’ lab assignment, and instructors’ evaluation’, centrally on the academic writing procedure, on the basis of various classes in the 2nd semester, 2010.
