This article tries to compare the thought between Kim Woo-jin(金祐鎭) and Yi Ton-hwa(李敦化). First, Yi tried to re-establish Choendo-gyo(天道敎)’s ontology in a modern context. The heart of Yi’s argument is "natural human abilities," that is, the individual"s personality-oriented society, could be treated with respect. This is in response to "National Reformation(民族改造論)" written by Lee Kwang-soo caused controversy at the time. Yi was optimistic about possibility of human revolution(開闢). He thought it would be able to establish the "ideal kingdom for justice for mankind, if Korean people have ‘real ideal’.
On the other hand, Kim Woo-jin also argues that human is responsible for the crisis of the world. Kim has claimed that some kind of changes are needed in the dimension of "life" like Yi. This thought is embedded in his work, "wild boar(산돼지)". In this work, he argue that self-awareness that no one have choice but to fight to make revolution succeed. This seems to have affected from the "Life Force", thought of Bernard Shaw. But Kim went further. He realize that value of the life is in itself. That is why any small creature is worth. In this way it could be possible to find the common between Kim and Yi.
