This study aims to represent the plastic arts education in Bauhaus as a scientific consilience. Consilience or the unity of knowledge, a book by Edward Wilson, in this book, Wilson attempt to explain the bridge of culture gap between the sciences and the humanities. Wilson`s assertion is that unite the sciences and unite the sciences with the humanities & arts. Like Wilson`s assertion in Consilience, the synthesis of knowledge from different specialized fields of human endeavor is also important in plastic arts education. Therefore, as a viewpoint of Wilson`s Consilience, Baubaus`s arts education was studied by today`s reflexion. The Esprit of Bauhaus has been reformational that it is regarded as a good model of art education in nowaday. Because it came out of it`s traditional concepts and began to deal with the modern plastic arts. Today`s reflection, of plastic arts education in Bauhaus as consilience, is very important to improve the students` ability to develop creative thinking, develop human nature and well-organized training system of arts. But, colleges of art & design in Korea are relatively lacking in this kind of studies and educational system. So, it is necessary to study on education system of plastic arts in point of interdisciplinary approach, multidisciplinary approach, transdisciplinary approach beyond the boundaries of studies. Through this study, those of the followings are analysed in details: 1) the necessity of consilience studies in plastic arts education, 2) the study of Bauhaus art education based on scientific consilience, 3) re-improvement & practical re-application for consilience in plastic arts education of Bauhaus. Today`s reflection, of plastic arts education in Bauhaus, will be a new educational paradigm in college of arts. It is expected that this study can be actively utilized for policies of plastic arts education, developing educational system and structure of college of arts and liberal arts colleges for making new subjects.
