In this paper, we analyzed the big data about floating population in Jeju tourism which public data portal site provides. We divided the tourist attractions of Jeju into two areas which correspond to Jeju city region and Seogwipo city region. The floating population of the tourist attractions divided into the two regions was compared each other by gender, age and time zone classification. Specially, the difference of each floating population rate by age, gender and time zone classification in the two regions was verified with statistical T-test. As the result, we discovered several interests. First, the distribution rates of man’s 10s, 30s, 60s and woman’s 50s in the floating population for Jeju tourism were higher in Jeju city region than Seogwipo. Second, while the distribution rate of the floating population in time zone from a.m. 10 to 12 a.m. was higher in Seogwipo city region, the rate from p..m. 5 to 10 p.m. was higher in Jeju city region. The third, the number of floating population in Aeweol region was larger than other non-town region. This paper is meaningful in the view of analyzing big data based on facts in spite of exploratory observation with the limit for analyzing only part of the data related with the floating population.
