The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of a Taekwondo school’s accumulated knowledge assets on knowledge management and business performance, and suggest a knowledge business management strategy focused on intangible assets as opposed to the existing Taekwondo schools’ tangible asset-focused marketing strategy.
In order to reach this goal, 345 study objects who manage a Taekwondo school were sampled using the purposive sampling and snowball sampling method from the non-probability sampling method. The actual study was carried out using a survey, and the final 345 purposive samples that we collected were processed using the Window SPSS 22.0 version statistics package program. First, in order to verify the construct validity of the scale, an Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was carried out, while the survey’s internal consistency was verified through calculating the Cronbach’s αcoefficient. Second, in order to analyze the effects of a Taekwondo school’s accumulated knowledge assets on knowledge management and business performance, we carried out a correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis between variables so that the study hypothesis could be verified.
The results showed that first, a Taekwondo school’s knowledge assets showed to have a statistically significant positive effect (+) on dependent variables such as knowledge creation and knowledge sharing. Second, a Taekwondo school’s knowledge assets showed to have a statistically significant positive effect (+) on dependent variables such as competitive advantage and financial aptitude in business performance.
