The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between multicultural perception and multicultural acceptability and to test the mediating effect of empathic ability between two variables. To this end, the descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation analysis, and three-step mediated regression analysis were conducted using 360 Korean Christian adults at 6 churches in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and Daejeon. The study results obtained through the process were as follows: first, a significant difference in empathic ability was found according to experience of multicultural education in a church, and a significant difference in multicultural perception was found according to having multilcutural friends, neighbors, and coworkers and traveling or training program abroad; second, correlation findings revealed the existence of a positive relationship among multicultural perception, empathic ability, and multicultural accept ability; finally, the mediation effect of empathic ability was observed in the relationship between multicultural perception and multicultural acceptability. Based on these findings, implications and strategies for church ministries were suggested to improve the multicultural perception, empathic ability, and multicultural acceptability of Korean Christian adults from Christian educational perspectives. In addition, some limitations for this study were discussed.
