The predicates such as ‘saenggida(생기다)’ tend to be examples of problems from the task of classifying grammatical status by using the characteristics of intransitive verb and adjective. In the conjugation problem, the features of adnominal ending in the class of ‘saenggida’ is often matched with the characteristics of the adjective.
The problem of joining with ‘-eohada(어하다)’ can be provided a basis to handle most of ‘saenggida’ class together. The sharing of features that can be combined with ‘-eohada’ may be a reason to classify them with the features of natural emotion and sensory adjectives.
The fact that the class of ‘saenggida’ can be substituted ‘geureohda(그렇다)’ may be another basis for discussing them together. The fact that the predicates such as ‘saenggida’ can be substituted as ‘geureohda’ rather than ‘geureonda(그런다)’ regardless of the conjugation may be a proof of sharing adjective characteristics.
However, these characteristics are not the same with the characteristics of adjective. Since the characteristics of predicates such as ‘saenggida’ are the result of the undifferentiated intransitive verb and adjective. The degree of undeclared intransitive verb and adjective varies from one predicate to another, therefore the list of the predicates such as ‘saenggida’ cannot be limited.
