This study researches into the representative labor disputes of the two vested cotton textile factories in 1950's. Findings are as follows: First, major change in the vested cotton textile factories originated from the government. This make sure that two labor disputes started from inauguration of chairman by government, Ilmae Kang(姜一邁) of Chosun Spinning Co.(朝鮮紡織株式會社), Kyungdong Sul(薛卿東) of Taihan Textile Co.(大韓紡織株式會社). Also, two labor disputes ended up public power of government. Therefore, the main characteristics of the vested cotton textile factories is national property. Second, the influences of power around the vested cotton textile factories were composed of a local labor union, a branch of The Federation of Korean Trade Unions(大韓勞總), National Assembly on the one hand and a second local labor union, a branch of The Federation of Korean Trade Unions, Rhee's Government on the other hand. Two labor disputes evolved and escalated in a way that the conflict between local labor union and factory escalated into a conflict between two branches of The Federation of Korean Trade Unions, then into a conflict between National Assembly and Rhee's Government. Third, the mood of two disputes emphasized the fundamental right of a laborer rather than interest of a laborer. The core and a point in the two labor disputes was not distribution of interest but rehabilitation of laid-off workers who are union leaders. These conclusion allow us to reconsider that the vested cotton textile factories were national property influenced by social power and did not assure of the right of workers.
