On the Uses of the Grammatical Termsin Korean Morphology.Choi, Kyu-soo(Pusan National Univ.)This paper studied the uses of the grammatical terms of morphology in the history of Korean linguistics. There are two groups using the grammatical terms in Korean linguistics, the one using the terms proper to Korean language, the other using the terms borrowed from Chinese character. It is likely to think that the two terms belonging other groups respectively are different names referring a same thing, for instance irim-ssi(이름씨) referring to myengsa(명사) and ssikkit(씨끝) referring to emi(어미). But two terms belonging to different groups do not refer a same thing, because those have different extensions frequently. Also, a same term belong to the same groups have different extensions frequently, for instance, the term irim-ssi(이름씨) in the group using the terms proper to Korean language may have different extensions in each work, and the term myengsa(명사) does so.Because these various uses of grammatical terms in Korean linguistics is related with the grammatical systems in the history of Korean linguistics, I made an analysis of the uses of the grammatical terms of Korean morphology with Korean grammatical systems.
