The Study of Korean Affixes in Morphological PerspectiveLee Yang-hye(Pusan Univ. of Foreign Studies) This research presents conditions of derivational-affixes for word -formation, and studied whether the established affixes satisfy the conditions this research presents. Conditions that constitute the properties of derivational-affixes break down into two kinds: the first is indispensable conditions, the second is incidental conditions. This research found that derivational-affixes which don’t satisfy indispensable conditions fail to constitute the properties of derivational-affixes and incidental conditions need to be observed in relation with the features of various kind of derivational -affixes to decide the qualification of derivation affixes.To satisfy indispensable conditions, derivational-affixes should be dependent morpheme and have a derivative ability for words. To satisfy incidental conditions, derivational-affixes include abilities of categorical derivation, meaning addition and an ability to form other words as a particular role. Even if they do not have a form, if they have these abilities they are acknowledged as an affix. An affix without synchronic productivity does not meet the qualifications of an affix.Regarding with the qualification inspection of derivational-affixes, the research investigated the established qualification of derivational affixes, centering on morphemes which are ambiguous to decide whether it is root or affix. The research has been expanded to include the role expansion of prefix, which has the qualifications. For suffixes, the qualifications of derivation-affixes are studied including unproductive suffixes, passive and causative verbs of suffix, zero derivational-affixes, particles or the termination of words, suffixes of the same kind, and sorts of 'X-I/Ki'.
