The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of 12week ballet program on physical self-concept, creativity of infants at 4-6yrs. Designated as the experimental group were 56 infants including 25 boys and 30 girls who trained ballet program for 12 weeks on a twice-per-week, 40-minute-a-day basis. The control group with 24 boys and 30 girls was composed of 54 infants who had no experience of any physical training. The paired t-test between pre and post, and the two-way ANOVA between group and p<.05 were used in this study. The results were as follows: 1, Motor ability(p<.001), appearance(p<.001) and health(p<.001). motor ability as physical self-concept significantly increased in experimental group, physical self-concept is significant between groups(p<.001),genders(p<.01) and ages(p<.001) respectively. 2, The fluency(p<.001), flexibility(p<.001), originality(p<.001), imagination (p<.001) as the creativity significantly increased in experimental group respectively. The fluency(p<.001), flexibility(p<.001), originality(p<.001), imagination(p<.001) are significantly between groups. In conclusion, this study provided empirical evidence to substantiate promotional effects of the ballet programs on essential components in infants' growth and development. Specifically, the physical self-concept and creativity were shown to be enhanced through several activities in the infant ballet program.
