The safety accident of on-board trainee in recent industrial sites has become a social issue through the media. The on-board trainees who are on the ship are in the same environment. In general, there are minor safety accidents before major accidents occur, and reviewing them is one of the ways to prevent safety accidents. Therefore, in this study, minor accidents were analyzed to prevent safety accidents on the ship. A survey was conducted on minor safety accidents that occurred in the training ship for on-board trainees of maritime high school. Through the analysis results of the survey, on-board trainees’ injuries were reviewed and the types and causes of injuries were examined. In addition, the results of the analysis were compared with school safety accident studies which have similarities to training ships. Therefore, in this study, improvements such as the construction of minor safety accident case data to prevent safety accidents on the ship, development of a curriculum for safety education, and strengthening of monitoring were deduced and suggested. In addition, improvement cases in which the items identified during the study were actually reflected in the training ship were also presented. It is expected that the results of this study can be used as basic data for safety management of on-board trainee and safety education.
