Amid the 4th industrial revolution, the beauty industry creates creative trends and develops new technologies and sensibilities. In particular, the beauty service industry, which is highly dependent on human labor, requires professional skills and artistic creativity. The labor-intensive beauty services industry requires professional skills and artistic creativity, so personal competence and role are critical. It is necessary to nurture beauty professionals with professional knowledge, technology, and practical experience to strengthen human competitiveness. Therefore, the individual"s competency and role are essential because there is a significant practical difference according to employees" personality in the beauty industry, which is the most critical factor in the beauty service industry. This study categorizes the personality characteristics of employees in the beauty industry, examines the effects on goal orientation through job satisfaction and self-efficacy, and intends to help enhance professionalism, creativity, competency, human competitiveness, and job improvement according to the personalities of employees in the beauty industry. The research method was statistically processed, analyzed, and organized using a survey method using a questionnaire method targeting 750 employees in their 20s and 40s working in makeup, nail, hair, and skin fields across the country. As a result of the study, the most suitable personalities for employees in the beauty industry are sincerity, openness, and friendliness. They have personality traits that maintain harmonious relationships. In addition, it was confirmed that the personality characteristics of employees in the beauty industry could be used as a critical indicator in the beauty industry because the study was conducted on employees in the beauty industry who are currently working in the beauty industry. It was found that understanding the characteristics of employees in the beauty industry, the source of competitiveness, helps job satisfaction, self-efficacy, and goal orientation and affects professionalism, creativity, work competitiveness, competency enhancement, and job improvement. Therefore, this study provides critical primary data and practical implications for effective self-management and goal orientation according to the characteristics of beauty workers, providing an essential direction for the development of the beauty industry and the positioning of competitive employees in the beauty industry.
