This study was performed to demonstrated the mechanism of hypoglycemic regulation of amaranth seed 80% ethanol extracts in HepG2 cells. The samples were prepared and divided into 4 groups: The inhibitory activities of α-amylase, glucosidase was shown to be large in the order of GBA, BA, GYA and YA. Similarly, glucose uptake level was same results. The GBA effect was very similar compared to the positive control group.
